Hard Boiled Egg

Ingredients

  • 6 Organic Free-Range Brown Eggs
  • Pot of Water

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a large saucepan. Cover them with cool water by 1 inch. 
  2. Slowly bring water to a boil over medium heat; when the water has reached a boil, cover and remove from heat. 
  3. Let sit 12 minutes.
  4. Transfer eggs to a colander; place under cool running water to stop eggs from cooking further. 
  5. Eggs can be peeled and served immediately.  Eat them whenever you get hungry!

Brown Rice Cake with Almond Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 Brown Rice Cakes
  • 1 Tbsp Almond Butter (Make sure almonds are the only ingredient listed)
  • Sprinkle of Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Spread almond butter evenly over rice cakes. Sprinkle cinnamon to garnish.

Red Beet Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 Lg (8oz) Beet, peeled, cut into 3/4-inch cubes (if you’re in a rush you can use canned beets)
  • 1 Cup Drained Canned Garbanzo Beans (chickpeas from 15 1/2oz can)
  • 3/4 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1/4 Cup Slivered Almonds
  • 2-3 Garlic Cloves, peeled
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Red Wine Vinegar (I do half Red Wine Vinegar & half Umeboshi Plum Vinegar)

Instructions

  1. Cook beet in medium saucepan of boiling water until tender, about 12 minutes.
  2. Drain, place in processor/blender. Add garbanzo beans, 3/4 cup oil, almonds, and garlic. Blend until smooth.
  3. Add 1 1/2 tbsp vinegar and blend well. Add additional vinegar to taste if desired. Transfer to decorative bowl, cover and chill. Bring to room temperature before serving.
  4. Beets are a great way to curb sweet cravings. If you aren't sure how you feel about beets...this is a great way to ease yourself into them. Enjoy!

Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients

  • One Large Sweet Potato or Yam
  • 2 Tbsp Cold Pressed Organic Coconut Oil
  • Seasoning
  • Pink Himalayan Sea Salt
  • Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • Cinnamon
  • Garlic and Onion Powder

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degree. Rinse and chop sweet potatoes into fries.
  2. Coat sweet potatoes with coconut oil.
  3. Place tin foil over a pan and separate sweet potatoes into three sections.
  4. Sprinkle one section with sea salt and black pepper. Sprinkle the next section with cinnamon and the last section with garlic and onion powder.
